Maleimide C3 NHS is one of SLT's maleimide crosslinkers that are reactive to amine groups. Maleimide is a widely used thiol reactive tag that has been used for antibodies, proteins, enzymes and many other molecule bioconjugation applications. Maleimide reacts with free thiol at neutral pH and form a stable thiol-ether bond. This reaction proceeds rapidly and specifically. NHS group in this crosslinker allows rapid attachement of maleimide functional moiety to vairous molecules through reaction between NHS and amine.
