Sun Fluor^TM 488 azide (SF488-N₃) is one of SLT's reactive Sun Fluor^TM dyes with high fluorescent brightness and excellent photostability. SF488-Azide is a water soluble, fluorescent dye with excitation/emission wavelength at 494 nm/515 nm. Azide is a commonly used Click Chemistry reacting moiety that can react with linear alkyne catalyzed by cooper ions, it can also react with strain-promoted cyclooctyne, such as DBCO (dibenzylcycooctyne) spontaneously without need any catalyst. Reaction between azide and alkyne allows quick and efficient labeling of proteins, antibodies and other biomolecules.
