FITC labeled Chloroquine is one of SLT's green fluorescent bioactive probes  that can be used for bacterium imaging and detection.  Chloroquine is a small molecule used to treat malaria. The resistance of malaria bacterium to chloroquine obliviates the use of this molecule to treat malaria. Fluorescently labeled chloroquine, however, shows increased use in the imaging and detection of bacterium both in-vitro and in-vivo.  Chloroquine FITC gives bright green fluorescent light upon excited at 495 nm.
