Fluorescein Iodoacetyl (FL-IA) is one of SLT's functional fluorescein derivatives that has a reactive Iodoacetyl group. Iodoactyle group can react with sulfhydryl (thiol) group easily and quickly. Reaction between Iodoacetate and thiol forms a stable thio-ether bond. Iodoacetyl functional fluorescein is a green fluorescent dye that emits strong fluorescence light around 515 nm upon excited at 495 nm.
