Fluorescein hydrazide (FL-NHNH2) is a reactive fluorescein derivative that has a hydrazide (-NHNH2) group. Hydrazide group can react with ketone or aldehyde group to form a stable hydrazone bond.  Hydrazide functional fluorescein is a green fluorescent dye that emits strong fluorescence light around 515 nm upon excited around 495 nm.
