Fluorescein hydroxyl (FL-OH) is a reactive fluorescein derivative with a hydroxyl group. This hydroxyl group can be activated to react with carboxylic or amine groups. Hydroxyl fluorescein is a green fluorescent dye that emits strong fluorescence light around 515 nm upon excited around 495 nm.
