Product Description:
Ruthenium-RU600-Biotin (Ru(bpy)3-biotin) is one of SLT's reactive ruthenium dyes that emits strong red fluorescent light. Ruthenium is a rare transition metal and some of its complexes gave strong luminescence upon excited by UV light. Compared to other organic fluorescent dyes, ruthenium based fluorophores have large stoke shift (>200 nm), exceptional long fluorescent life time and excellent photo-stability. Because of its unique photonic properties, ruthenium dyes are excellent fluorophores for two-photon imaging and electroluminescent assays.
Ruthenium-RU600-biotin is a biotinylated ruthenium dye that can bind to avidin or streptavidin with high affinity. Interaction between Ru600-biotin and streptavidin can be used for various biomolecule detection with high sensitivity.
